BMI - Body Mass Index

BMI is a measure of body fat based on a ratio of your weight to your height. (This allows us to compare patients of different heights and weights. i.e. If one patient is 5”0” and another is 6’0” but they both weigh the same, they would look very different.) The higher your BMI, the higher your risk is for various diseases, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, breathing problems, heart disease and some cancers.
