"At my heaviest, I was 300lbs, but since surgery, I feel more confident. I could not have done it without Dr. Hodges. She gave me my life back!"
"This surgery was the best thing I could of ever done. I feel 20 years younger! I forgot what it was like to not be tired. It’s been almost 3-years now and I’ve lost 104 pounds and have no problems keeping it off. I tried everything I could think of and always gained weight back after losing it, until I had weight loss surgery. Dr. Hodges was always there to answer my questions and walk me through each step of the process."
"My name is Michael and on June 8, 2020, I had gastric sleeve surgery with Doctor Hodges. At that time in my life I was at my highest weight ever at 303 pounds. I wasn’t happy and couldn’t find much peace. I made a commitment on that day to never have to feel that way again. After surgery, I followed instructions, took my vitamins every day, I weighed everything I ate, I exercised and I used the Baritastic app too. The weight kept coming off and I’ve actually surpassed my original goal of 180 and now am at 174! Trust me when I tell you that having surgery has been the best decision I’ve ever made. My attitude has changed, my outlook on life has changed, I am happy, I am healthy, my skin is better, my energy level is great, my relationships are better, my career is better, I’ve developed new habits that become a natural way of life now. I love the new me! Thank you to everyone who has been with me on this journey. Dr. Hodges and her staff will forever be in my heart & my gratitude will never cease!"
"What a difference a year makes! Down 134, 21 to goal! I remember when it was down 21 and 134 to goal! I got married on August 1st, was going to show my honey my before photo and it just made me cry, and I declined to show him. A couple of days passed and I showed it to him, he said -- that doesn't even look like you! The amazing plus, while my new wrinkly body isn't my favority to look at, he tells me all the time how much he loves it and me!"
"Hi y’all. My name is Jamie. On 5/24/17 I had RNY performed by Dr. Hodges. At my heaviest weight I was 309. I felt horrible. I wanted to live life, be outside, be active, be healthy and frankly I wanted to be able to live. Well that is exactly what I have been able to do now! I have lost 170 lbs. I workout 5 days a week. The gym is my passion. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that weight loss patients can’t build muscle, that is false. I do my daily cardio but I really enjoy lifting weight. I have recently started practicing yoga as well."
"Starting Weight: 262 Current Weight: 184 Goal Weight is 150 Hi, I’m Laura. I had the Gastric Bypass on October 9, 2019. In six months, I’m down 78 pounds!! Not only am I an incredibly grateful patient of Dr. Hodges, I’m also her Office Manager!! I had my ‘ah-ha’ moment two months after I began working for Dr. Hodges. I was rooming a patient and thought to myself, “Why is she here? She looks like she’s never had a weight problem a day in her life!” …and then I looked at her chart. Her starting weight was my exact weight at that very moment. 262. Her current weight was 188. 188!! This was the number I’ve always had in my head, “I’d love to get back down to 188.” It was like I was staring at myself. I had always been very athletic, even after having my two children, until I blew out my ACL playing soccer in a women’s league when I was 34 years old. That’s when the weight started pouring on. I am so thankful for Dr. Hodges. The fact that I have her enthusiasm and encouragement day-in-and-day-out is a blessing!! She is one of my biggest cheerleaders, proud of every one of my milestone moments, no matter how big or small. I will be forever grateful. My goal is to run a 5k in 2020. Running looks so therapeutic and peaceful. It is my first goal of many. I truly believe that God has put this in my life, so I can go through this incredible journey with our patients. I love the relationships I’ve developed with them because we’re walking the same walk! I truly love my job and am only a phone call away for our patients! "

"My name is Jen, and I had gastric bypass surgery with our amazing Dr. Hodges on 7/25/2018. So far, I have lost over 100 lbs., and I went from a size 26/28 down to a size 14/16. I have been off of my high blood pressure meds & both of my type 2 diabetic meds since I left the hospital after my surgery, and my blood sugar & blood pressure have both remained stable and in the normal range. This surgery quite literally gave me my life back, and I owe a great debt of thanks to Dr. Hodges and to her tremendous office personnel - I could not have made this decision or walked this path without the support, assistance, & encouragement that I received from each & every one of you! I flew to the UK last October, and the flight was so much less uncomfortable for me. I’m able to move and do things that I haven’t been able to do in ages, and I feel so much healthier than I have in over 20 years. Thank you so very, very much for being on this journey with me! "Surgery Weight: 291 size 26/28 Current Weight: 131 Size 4/6 Surgery date (Duodenal Switch):11/26/18 Having this surgery completely changed my life. I grew up heavy and as an adult. My Primary Care Physician confirmed that I would most likely always struggle with my weight due to genetic factors. Well, I wasn't okay with struggling my whole life and I made the best decision for me! All of the things I have always wanted to do, I can do now with ease! I completed several 5ks last year and have already hit my goal of completing a 10k this year already! Next goal: half marathon!!! I am humbled and so grateful to Dr. Hodges for helping me turn my dreams into a reality!!"
